The Poltrot leisure center is a real bubble of nature located in the south of the Charente. Many activities will delight young and old in this bucolic space where the Dronne river meanders between the trees, ideal for family moments.
Free access, it offers family walks along the Dronne, picnic and relaxation areas (tables, barbecues, bowling alley, etc.), fishing grounds, but also more sporting activities with the acrobatic course in height, a plant maze or even a canoe descent. Thanks to the Lavalette Tude Dronne Community of Communes, the site of the Poltrot mill has become an essential site for holidays in South Charente.

Poltrot is a fishing site for the whole family!
Labeled "Family fishing course" and accessible to people with reduced mobility, the Poltrot site offers an ideal setting for teasing the fish!
Don't forget to bring your fishing license before you float your cork.

The beach
Fancy a refreshing break with your feet in the water? It's possible !
Cross the large rope bridge over the river and thus access the sandy beach of Montmalan.
You will even find shade to put your towel down before you jump into the water!
Montmalan beach is a facility managed by the municipality of Petit-Bersac.
This year, the beach is not equipped and there is no lifeguard.

The scientific fishery
The Moulin de Poltrot is a reference site for monitoring eels on the Dronne river!
For 5 years, as part of the "Rivière Index" program, several specialized organizations have contributed to the installation and development of a scientific fishery.
This method makes it possible to study each year the behavior and migration of several hundred eels which descend along the Dronne.
Thanks to its strategic position on the Dronne, the configuration of its mill and the quality of the results obtained, the Poltrot structure quickly became one of the reference sites at regional and national level.
Le Moulin de Poltrot
The Moulin de Poltrot is a wheat mill used from the 15th century until the middle of the 19th century.
In 1946 it became a flour mill and produced up to 3 tons of flour per day until its complete shutdown in December 1986.
